  • ShockStrap Recommendation for Tie Down to Be Used with Wider Handlebars
  • What you'd want is the ShockStrap Soft Ties for Motorcycles and Dirt Bikes # 297-2STB-2 as this will allow you to loop around the handlebars and the clip will be able to close. Typically if the bike is secured proplerly the spring clips really aren't needed. Most tie-downs for motorcycles/bikes don't have them and they simply get depressed when using on a wider bar without issue.

  • Creating a 6-Way Round to 5-Way Flat Trailer Wiring Adapter
  • We do not carry a 6-way to 5-way adapter, so I recommend making one using the Hopkins Trailer Connector Adapter - 6-Pole Round to 6-Pole Square # HM47415 and removing the 6-pole square to replace with the Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector - Vehicle End - Ergonomic Design # HM47900. You won't use the 12V feature so I recommend removing that wire from the 6-way so it doesn't draw any power. I've attached a wiring article to help with the connections.

  • Brake Replacement for Dexter 023-326-00 Brakes
  • From what I was able to determine from my research, the 023-326-00 brakes are 12" brakes from Dexter and were designed for trailer axles with between 5200 and 7000-lbs capacity. I don't believe that I've ever seen a brake mounting flange that has 6 bolts, so I'm assuming that you actually meant 5 bolts. To replace the brakes on your trailer, I recommend using the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA, which comes with 12" left and right brake assemblies and are designed for up to 7000-lb...

  • Ducted AC Unit Recommendation for 1996 National Seabreeze
  • I spoke with my contact at Atwood about your question on the Atwood Ducted AC Unit part # AT15028-22. She informed me that the # AT15028-22 can operate the furnace, but not with a remote control. A thermostat will have to be wired in for the A/C, and it will also control the furnace. Since you already have a thermostat you'd be set.

  • How to Pick Out Replacement Roof Vent Lid for 2005 National Sea Breeze
  • Most likely we have what you are looking for but you will need to first determine what vent you have on your trailer. The best way to find the correct replacement vent cover for your cargo trailer is to measure the vent. Most standard vents are 14-1/4 by 14-1/4 inches wide, 14 x 14 inches wide or 13 x 14 inches wide. Next if the manufacturer name is on the vent that will help. Finally, you will need to look closely at the hinged portion of the vent. If there is a rolled metal hinge attached...

  • Troubleshooting Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit # HM56011 on 2018 Ford Edge SEL
  • The Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit # HM56011 that you installed on your 2018 Ford Edge SEL is only confirmed to fit the Sport and Titanium model of the Edge. The issue with the SEL model is that it is equipped with variable voltage tail lights that don't provide enough resistance for the lights to operate correctly with the Hopkins harness installed. This is why all the lights on your Edge work fine when powered individually but not with the running lights activated. In order for...

  • Comparing LT Tires to ST Tires for Car Hauler Trailer
  • LT tires are made differently from the ST tires. The ST tires have a stronger sidewall by design from the Light Truck tires. The Light Truck (LT) tires are normally better for steering and comfort, but on a trailer the Special Trailer (ST tires) will be a better choice as you don't need the flexibility for turning with the non-moving axle. Motorhomes usually use the LT tires for ride comfort, but when you have a trailer the ST tires are a better choice in most cases. The biggest differentiating...

  • Replacement AC Unit for 1994 National RV Motorhome with Dual AC Units
  • The Advent Air Replacement Rooftop RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup - 15,000 Btu - Black # ACDOM150B is what you will want as a replacement because it comes with the start capacitor so you will be able to run both units. The start power is usually what keeps people from running both units, but if you replace both units with these then you won't have any issue. When you are able to run both units, you can absolutely go with the 13,500 btu unit instead. I recommend the Advent Air...
